Odd Arnesen was a Norwegian journalist and writer. In 1926 he worked for Aftenposten in Svalbard covering the "Norge" expedition, and in 1928 again covering the "Italia" expedition. Arnesen was also one of the founders of the Norsk Polarklubb and Norsk Aero Klubb. he wrote a lot of books, and was from 1933 the editor of the annual book "Polar-årboken".
Einar Lundborg was the name of the swedish leutenant that reascued Nobile from the camp site by the red tent after the crash of the "Italia".
